Quality Management and Policy

EnQS GmbH is a young company from Karlsruhe. We support our customers based on more than 10 years of experience from applied research in the fields of IoT and energy management at KIT and FZI. As a service provider, we develop software and prototypes for energy management systems and test current systems of our customers.

EnQS was founded as a spin-off of the FZI Research Center for Information Technology. The primary goal of our work is the satisfaction of our customers. The quality philosophy is based on the following four principles:


Technical Competence

The EnQS team consists of IT experts, software developers and electrical engineers. Thus, we close the gap between IT and electrical engineering. To this end, we operate a test lab where state-of-the-art equipment and systems are available. This way we can ensure that our test systems, prototypes and software components are not only tested against the interface specifications, but especially with the real devices and the different firmware versions.

We learn daily as we build and apply new systems, developing additional know-how and improving our performance. Our individually developed analysis software is also subject to a continuous improvement process. In this way, we efficiently identify weak points and advise our customers on troubleshooting and further development of their products.

Flexibility and Efficiency

Our customers benefit from short decision-making and communication paths as well as a lean organizational structure of a small company. We develop customized solutions flexibly according to our customers' needs, in an uncomplicated and reliable manner. Our proactive information culture also allows us to work particularly closely within the project team.

Employee Satisfaction

Qualification, expertise and motivation of the EnQS team are the basic requirements for our company success. Due to the daily work with constantly changing systems and requirements as well as the structured documentation of the work results, a constant further development of the team is given. In addition, the employees are supported by internal workshops and training courses.

Quality Management System

The Quality Management System of EnQS is certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 by TÜV SÜD Management Service GmbH since December 2020.
